Who We Are:

We are a Neurophysiologist owned and operated consulting company specializing in medical-malpractice litigation where intraoperative neuromonitoring (IONM) is in question. Members of the Neurodynamic Consulting team are Ph.D. level practitioners with a long track record of IONM experience. We have performed neuromonitoring on thousands of brain, spine, and peripheral nerve procedures. The goal of intraoperative neuromonitoring is to prevent injury to the brain, spine, and nerves during surgeries that put the nervous system at risk. If neuromonitoring is inadequate, performed incorrectly, or ignored by the surgical team, severe and irreversible injury could occur.  At Neurodynamic Consulting we understand that peri-operative injury can be devastating to the patient, their family, the physician, and the hospital; we serve to provide an objective source of unbiased truth for malpractice litigation. Our experienced Neurophysiologists will work in concert with your legal team to review neuromonitoring data, determine if deficiencies in neuromonitoring occurred, and offer expert witness testimony if needed.

Vicente Martinez, Ph.D., Principal

Dr. Martinez is a clinician, educator and researcher. He is presently an Associate Professor and Neurophysiologist at the University of Washington School of Medicine, where he performs remote and in-room intraoperative neuromonitoring for brain, spine, and peripheral nerve procedures. Through his affiliations with Harborview Medical Center and Seattle Children’s Hospital, Dr. Martinez has gained IONM expertise relevant to pediatric, trauma and minimally-invasive neurosurgical procedures. He also has considerable experience with deep brain stimulation therapy (DBS) for movement disorders.

Robert Holdefer, Ph.D. FASNM

Dr. Holdefer is has worked in intraoperative neuromonitoring for over 17 years. During this time he has gained experience practicing in both privately owned IONM companies, as well as large academic teaching hospitals. Dr. Holdefer is an Associate Professor in the University of Washington School of Medicine and has published multiple peer-reviewed journal articles describing the utility of IONM for procedures that risk injury of the facial nerve. In 2019 he was appointed as a Fellow of the American Society of Neurophysiological Monitoring.
